NASA is sending a 3D printer into space

The US space agency NASA is exploring the possibility of establishing a colony in space. As a part of this, a 3D printer is being sent to the International Space Station. The 3D printer will try to make raw material by imitating the loose soil and rocks of the moon in the construction of housing in space, said the technology site Engadget. That being said, under the ‘Artemis’ project, The Redwire Regolith Print (RRP) will work simultaneously with ISS ’Mandy Printer System. The building material for building the house will be regolith. ISS astronauts will observe whether the infrastructure built using these raw materials can withstand the hostile atmosphere of space. And if it is possible to make sustainable raw materials with 3D printers, the pressure on NASA to transport construction materials to the moon and Mars will be reduced. The dream of establishing a colony in space will go one step ahead.
